They are two different attributes that can have our player, and determine certain aspects and bonuses. The combination of both designate the title of our character. You can check the value of these attributes with the command .famkar

Fame

Fame is gained by defeating other players or NPCs. Each time you kill someone, or an NPC, earn fame points to be added to a total, being proportional to the difficulty of the NPC. When you die, you lose part of that total fame. When it comes to a total of 10,000 points of Fame, if your profession is to fight like Magery, Swordmanship, Tactics, Fencing or Macefighting, you will be granted the title of Lord in your name, and if instead is a crafting profession as Alchemy, Blachmithing, Mining or Tailoring, you will be given the title Master. The bonus in both cases are +10 vitality, and +10 armor.

Karma

The level of points of Karma is what shows our predisposition toward good or evil. Karma can have negative value when its value is less than 1000, your name will appear in gray, and the other players can alert the guards if you walk into a protected city, and will attack you. When it exceeds 1000, your name will appear in blue and can move freely protected cities with guards. Obviously, there is something going up your karma, and there are others that fall. Stealing, gives your karma lower, and kill NPCs or characters whose name is not blue, it rises. If instead you kill characters or NPCs whose name appears in blue, your karma will fall.
